Like the fashion industry, the wedding business is ever-changing. The must wear and must-do trends to make your dream wedding special for your guests almost change with the seasons.
Cynthia Pesce is a renowned wedding planner and the General Manager of the award-winning Inn at New Hyde Park (www.innatnhp.com) in Long Island, New York
Cynthia says going into the Fall and Winter months there are 5 wedding trends that anyone planning a wedding should consider to bring that extra element to their guests.
1. Desserts…Infused with Alcohol. Of course everyone get wedding cake. But, by the time you dance all night, more dessert may be a must. That’s why
this infused dessert is becoming popular. That, and the fact it
has alcohol. Passed infused desserts as a final measure for the
evening is a classy way to wrap up the night or the dining portion of your evening. (can bring visuals to studio)
2. Specialty Linens. This is a new statement piece that can help the overall feel of your special day. This design element gives you a lot of bang for your buck and adds such ambiance to any room. (can bring visuals to studio)
3. A Sweet Send-Off. The to-go trucks have been popular at weddings for the last few years. Now, the trend is honing down to making sure there is a sweet treat as your guests head off. Classic trucks like an authentic Mr. Softee or Mr. Humor brings a smile and a
list of goodies your guests will thank you for. In the cooler months, a Zeppole truck or a Coffee truck are great options.
4. Invest in the After Party! After Parties are evolving into an event in themselves. There are so many great options. From picking a restaurant and securing your own section to listen to a live band or a private Reggae Room, a Jazz Room or create your own VIP Club!
5. Everybody Loves Bacon. The new Bacon Station is the latest craze. This Cocktail Hour station is very popular and includes items like chocolate covered bacon.
